The Webmaster:

✸ Hi, I'm River and this is my microcosm.
      Androgynous gay guy, late 20s.

I'm an anthropologist/archaeologist in the process of specializing and getting my Masters in folklore. I study superstition and spiritual encounters, particulary those of ordinary people and their affects on daily life. I love learning about new people, new places, new ghosts, and new gods. Yippee! Needless to say, I am a leftist.

I'm a maximalist (aka a restrained hoarder). I love tchotchkes and trinkets, and I collect lucky charms and religious paraphernalia. I love to read, explore new parts of the world, and admire art. The photos scattered around this website are of my favourite works of art and photos taken on my travels. Lately I've been getting more into fragrance because I like to smell sexy and mysterious.

I am the extremely proud and over-bearing father of two beautiful tuxedo cats named Hero and Beatrice (someday I'll add pictures). Back home on my parent's farm, my Belgian draft horse Apollo is enjoying retirement after his rescue and subsequent (brief) career as a jousting horse.

Parlo, leggo e scrivo Italiano, ma non alleno molto. Lo studio da tredici anni, intermittenza.
